Alright guys! It’s time for another Spotlight! Why am I doing this at six in the morning instead of last night when I was supposed to? Because I just got back from a huge night of partying that’s what! (Also I was frozen for a little bit there but that’s another story.) Well, we got in a request asking us to do a Spotlight on a blog that’s been around for about three weeks now, so here’s Ask Eclair!
So here she is folks! Nice scarf right? Well apparently this mare fancies herself a sculptor, which must be pretty hard for a pony, even with magic. Then again I guess all those statues in the Canterlot gardens have to come from somewhere right?
You know I actually like her design for some reason. It’s simple yet elegant in a way. Then again it could be that her hair looks like you crossed Rarity’s and Fluttershy’s and then ran it through a chocolate factory, but I think saying “simple yet elegant” sounds nicer doesn’t it?
You know for a Canterlot gal, she seems pretty sweet and kind (Hey you gotta admit, they can be pretty stuck up from time to time). Though I could see why her patience would wear thin when getting really weird random questions, well, like this…

Apparently she recently reached 30 followers and made this little picture which I knew I just had to show you guys.

Oh Science Woona, will you ever cease to entertain? I really do like how the blog really tries to keep the same art style as the original, along with the crazy antics. Though it’s also interesting how Science Woona seems to talk a little bit more than her original counterpart.

Hey. You know what everyone loves, and yet also dreads at the same time due to the inevitable heart attacks to follow? CUTENESS OVERLOAD THAT’S WHAT!
Here we have a blog that has only been around for about three weeks and yet still seems to get popular in no time flat. Is it the cuteness? Well you can already tell just by the picture above that’s already a guarantee. Is it the hearts in eyes that we love for some strange reason? Maybe it’s the high quality of the art we all love, where the character seems so much more vivid and alive…
…Or maybe in the end it’s just luck. Who knows? Probably we’re just bored. Either way, we love blogs like these. the cute lil mare that some of love to watch and others love to mess with, which we then love to watch. See? Circle of life (Finn).

Alright guys once again it’s that time to do another Spotlight! After all, someone’s gotta give everyone a chance to shine right? Well today we have a very, VERY new blog! Ask Technician Applejack (Trademark! Haha!)
I happened across this blog by accident recently and right away was digging the art style. Now when I say this blog is new, I mean it’s only been up for about a week since its creation and already has a couple of posts, with each post consisting of a couple of pictures, so all in all pretty impressive considering the artwork.
Apparently while we weren’t looking, our little AJ went and got herself certified! Jeez, can you imagine her studying up in Canterlot? Must have been a nightmare. Wait, so does this mean Applebloom’s not the only one handy with tools anymore? Poor Applebloom, your sister beats you to everything.
I’m not sure why I love this artstyle but you must admit its pretty unique. Now once again, the blog has just started out this week, but I have high hopes for our favorite farm girl’s newest profession. Go check her out and give her your support.

Alright it’s that time again for another Spotlight! And today’s spotlight is another fresh new blog belonging to the lovely Miss Romancedy! (Hmm, ever notice that a pony’s name always seems to be tied to their talent?)
This lovely mare is your local matchmaker, helping everyone find their one true love even in the most unexpected of places. Is it weird that at first I thought her Cutie Mark looked like mustache? What!? Mustaches can be romantic, the ladies love them. Well, cool facial hair aside, this mare unfortunately can’t seem to find a match for herself.

Now this is another blog that pumps out a couple of posts every day so you know you can always trust them to keep you entertained, and considering the art quality of these posts, even the line art ones will keep you entertained! The character is cute and the idea of a match maker could present some interesting ideas and scenarios.
Lets face it, some of you guys have shipped these couples too. (I’m a fan of SpikexSweetieBell myself but they’re a bit young for that).

Tonight, we’re happy to be talking about the newest up and coming blog, High School Cadance!
This blog has only been around for less than a month and yet its posts have been spreading around Tumblr Pone like Wild Fire (Ah? See what I did there?). As soon as I saw this blog I knew it absolutely screamed to be put in the spotlight.
What’s the story? Well, obviously, it takes place during Cadances’ high school days, and I actually like the idea of her being a socially awkward late-bloomer than some kind of pretty girl. And boy is she awkward! Just see how she reacts to seeing her crush.
Your heart just goes out to the poor thing don’t it? Then again, she wasn’t the only who was awkward in high school (I never was, but then again I’m just awesome). And who may her crush be? Well who else but…
….That random bat pony! No seriously it’s Shining Armor. And apparently she’s not the only one, but you’ll have to read the blog to find out about that.
Now lets talk about the art style. What else is there to say but, WOW. I mean seriously, just simply amazing. I’m not sure who this mod is or where they came from but they’re obviously packing with some serious talent. Now while she make take a week or so to pump out a new post, the amount of pics you get per post is about five or six, which considering the amount of quality and effort put into these things is pretty impressive.
Final verdict? GO FOLLOW THIS BLOG! Seriously, you can tell right away this is going to be next big blog to follow, like the new Palette Swap or Cteno.

This is Merrily, Ponyville’s local hot-air balloon ride…specialist…person….thing. Ok while I don’t know the EXACT term used for job (Balloonist? Maybe?), I still like the idea of a Pegasus who compensates for her lacking the ability to fly with the next best thing. Makes the character unique. And with that broken wing of hers, don’t you just wanna give her a big ol’ hug?
Guess someone beat me to it eh? Now I really do like this blog for being completely hand-drawn, especially when all you have is just paper and a scanner. I’m not sure why but it just comes off more personal, and if you don’t think so too, then you will after you look at these cute pictures she posted during the holidays!
Those two would have made Christmas a whole lot more fun huh?
Well since I seem to be making a habit of also talking about the mod behind the blog, you can rest assured she’s just as nice as Merrily herself and has been drawing Merrily and running the blog for almost a year now, and like a true artist still finds joy in practicing her talent. And with that, lets get on with the show! Today we’re reviewing the blog for Cotton Candy! Just as cute and diabetes inducing as our previous spotlight, this little cutie certainly lives up to her namesake in being sweet. Now lets take a little look at some of the different kinds of posts.
Poor little Anon, we all share your pain. Medical bills do get expensive after a while, and as we all know the ‘HNNG’ has become a national epidemic due to blogs like this. Spread the word! But seriously, aside from the cuteness overload the art style is just lovely, and you can really see the effort they put into the character. Cute and cuddly, she’s always got that certain little charm about her that makes your blood turn to sugar and your heart melt….unfortunately for my health insurance.
Oh and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so…

Also, anyone notice that her tail has the second most popular color of cotton candy for the paint?
Now what is the art without the artist? Well, you’ll be happy to know that I had the opportunity to talk a bit to the mod behind Cotton Candy, and it turns out that they are quite a very nice and sociable kind of guy. Oh? Did I say guy, why yes I did….
